Diethylene Glycol

We are listed at the apex in the list of the most reputable Diethylene Glycol Suppliers India. The unmatched quality and inexplicable performance of the Liquid Diethylene Glycol in respective application have attracted customers to place bulk orders. Additionally, the salient features and applications of the Diethylene Glycol Chemical have played a vital role in the enhancement of the demand of the chemical in the market.

Salient Features

  • Diethylene glycol is a colorless liquid with a high boiling point.
  • DEG is practically odorless and sweetish to taste.
  • It is considerably hygroscopic in nature.
  • DEG is miscible with water, alcohol, ether, acetone but is insoluble in benzene and carbon tetrachloride

Application
  • Unsaturated Polyester Resins : Polyester resins derived from DEG are flexible in nature. They are used as low pressure laminates for glass fibres, asbestos, cloth and paper.
  • Coolants : DEG can be used in cooling systems as it increases the boiling temperature considerably there by enabling the coolant perform more effectively in carrying off the excess heat generated by auto engines.
  • Pesticides : DEG is primarily used to encapsulate granules of phorate pesticide.
  • Rubber Compounding : For colored rubber products such as hawai chappals, DEG is used as an additive along with silica filler compounds to prevent the absorption of other ingredients such as the accelerator used in the rubber compounds.
  • Plasticizer : Benzoic acid is esterified with DEG to produce DEG Dibenzoate. It finds an application as plasticizer in PVC Compounds, PVA adhesives and moulded urethanes.
  • Polyurethane Foams : DEG is condensed with adipic acid or other poly functional acids to give polyurethane intermediate which upon polymerization with di-iso-cyanate and subsequent reaction with water form polyurethane foams.
  • Textile Auxiliaries : DEG is used as a hygroscopic agent in textile printing. The fact that it is completely miscible in water as well as many organic chemicals, makes it suitable as a solvent in many auxiliary formulations.
  • Polyethylene Glycols : DEG reacts with EO to form higher polyethylene glycols which find application in pharmaceutical, brake fluids, cosmetics.
  • Paints : DEG is used as a modifier in the manufacture of alkyd resins used in formulating paints.
  • Grinding Aid : Used as a grinding aid in Cement industry, in order to achieve higher fineness and smooth mill operations, increase throughput and also reduces energy consumption.
  • Others : DEG is also used as a solvent for ball pen inks, printing inks.
